Functions of the Department
Evaluation Studies: Assessing Government schemes/programmes to evaluate their impact and suggest improvements. Structured Schedules/Questionnaires: Framing of schedules for both primary and secondary information collection across R.D. Blocks. State Level Studies: Covering all districts under various State-level research studies. District-Specific Studies: Conducted as per DPDB requirement or Development Commissioner’s directive. Review Studies: To verify implementation, impact, and department response to earlier suggestions.
Ongoing Studies
1. State Level Study: PM POSHAN / Mid-Day Meal Scheme To assess impact on social enrolment and nutritional status. To identify barriers and suggest improvements in scheme implementation. 2. District Level Study: Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS) To check if benefits reach the intended population. To assess programme impact and suggest improvements.
