Function of Office The Office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Mon serves as the administrative head of the Mon District in Nagaland and plays a central role in governance, coordination, and public service delivery. Its core functions include:

1. District Administration and Coordination:
• Acts as the chief administrative officer of the district.
• Ensures coordination between all departments.
• Maintains law and order with the SP.

2. Revenue Administration:
• District Collector for land and revenue.
• Supervises land records and disputes.
• Oversees land revenue/tax collection.

3. Law and Order & Magistracy:
• Acts as District Magistrate.
• Enforces CrPC and issues prohibitory orders.
• Supervises police operations during critical events.

4. Government Schemes Implementation:
• Implements Central and State schemes (e.g., MGNREGA, PMAY).
• Monitors project execution.

5. Disaster Management:
• Chairperson, DDMA.
• Leads preparedness, response, and rehab.
